Not yet. I need some free time to do that.

I think you already tried making names manually yourself? And failed? There are only 10 files, 10 tracks each.

Awesome, can I ask why does the decoder produces radically higher quality output files compared to the previous one? It's exactly like in-game now.

Because i found what they did on PC. And made a new decoder. They made a doublesampling. Stupid, fast, but very popular method from old PC games, from DOS times.

I tried this with PS2 and it's normal that it doesn't work since it doesn't use IMA but Sony ADPCM. The type of codec used on PC (close to IMA) has artifacts noises (buzzy sound), so I was wondering if you were able to write an extractor program for the PS2 version? Thank you in advance.

i made the same (2xSampling) with PS2 version. here are two files, one from PC, one from PS2.

Listen to them and say, which you like better. Then I'll tell which one was from PC. Then we decide what to do.

No.

First = PS2
Second = PC

And I think so too, first IS better.

Weird, second was PC? There was no "noticeable" fuzzy sound. I believe you, don't worry.

RWS extractor with names. Will work with PS2 and PC.

For PC I could deinterlace it while extracting, but you don't need it anyway, so I'm now doing this.

p.s. now I'm going to make 2xSampler tool for you. After extracting files, you can use it on any WAV file.

Your new program doesn't work with the PC version. It doesn't give files (i tried to rename .stripped to .rws but doesn't work)

its not 'new' program. It only extracts RWS, not stripped files.

Here is SamplerX2, the tool that will make ANY mono or stereo file twice frequency. I mean you can use it for any files you have from any game or not game.

So now you have extractor and samplerx2 as separate tools.

If you want extract PS2, you need:

- extract files with names with my tool
- convert them with VGMtoolbox or whatever you use
- double the rate with SamplerX2

I will make something for PC later.
