Yes i know, i even checked topics about unrealPak, but fortnite detect that file size, compression type is not same, unrealPak use zlib while fortnite mobile Oodle compression. i would appreciate if you can help me to create a pak that fortnite can read.

@ferhat78: It has nothing to do with compression type, Fortnite has integrity checks preventing straightforward game modifications. Considering this and also that modding is out of scope of the topic, I can only suggest to address those questions to the game related modding communities.

I'm having trouble extracting Gears Tactics files, yes the Raw extractor works but also gives problems, but you have to have the files with the names

@Puterboy1: With big releases like this you can save some time by checking list with keys from my signature, sometimes keys are submitted there even before a game is officialy out.

@PaperOdin: If you need to extract only pak files, you can use 4.27 script, available via post in my signature. For io store packages (utoc/ucas files) you can use other compatible tools like umodel of fmodel.

@zakat1444: Normal packages (pak files) from UE5 games can be extracted with 4.27 script, available via my signature. Io store packages (utoc/ucas) are not supported by quickbms scripts, which is also written in my base post - there is almost no point in extracting them anyway, as extracted files wouldn't be supported by any of existing tools. You can use either fmodel with respective mappings or specific umodel build for exporting something useful from such packages. Either way, it's not related to this topic in general.

@Pepita: Hogwarts Legacy is 4.27 game, the rest is explained above (except that you don't need mappings, as the game doesn't use unversioned properties).

@Lord Vaako: This question is out of scope of this topic as well (just like your previous one), but no, I'm not aware of any tool supporting modern virtual textures (Unity has them too, btw). The main problem with them, I guess, is that assembling tiles is not enough, because they have borders, which can be overlapped for antialising purposes, but for raw texture you need to crop borders with 9-slices rule or something.

yeah, I used Umodel before and it was able to view some files, but a lot of files where missing / not shown. Like they have SQLite Files for Data, that wasn't shown in Umodel nor was Umodel able to unpack them.

Thats why I asked pretty much. I also through that ucas is an 5.0 File format. My bad then.

Honestly, as of now this topic is more about customized normal packages and scripts for it - for educational purposes I would say, but even current 4.27 script is a workaround in general, as it extracts files based on assets header, not on actual TOC, and also one folder at a time (otherwise indexing the whole names table at once may lead to unexpected results with quickbms). Though such approach helped in two custom cases already.

But if you're working with default formats, especially in case of io store packages (utoc/ucas), it's recommended to use other tools rather than quickbms scripts, which doesn't work for reimport due to their complexity and workarounds anyway. For general graphics (separate meshes, textures and animations) you may use umodel, including various builds from gildor's forum - or fmodel, which supports most native assets types, including audio, data tables and even maps with certain limits. Either way, extracting raw data from io store packages is supported in both of them, but it's quite pointless, like explained above.

Hello, I am trying to extract some files from Hogwarts Legacy, but I am having an error saying that umodel doesn't support virtual texture.

Does anyone knows another way to extract these files?

I am trying to extract the files located in /Game/UI/HUD/MiniMap/MiniMapTiles/

Example error:

@cn_halloweeks: This will not work as offzip extracts every compressed chunk as single files while actual asset (file) may consist of multiple chunks. Also, script for correct raw extraction of PUBG Mobile (where applied) is available for two years already in custom scripts bundle -> game specific scripts -> PUBG Mobile.

@rogerhnn: It was already answered at the top of this page. Regardless, questions which are not related to quickbms UE scripts should be addressed in more appropriate places like gildor's forum (for umodel issues) and such.
