mrmaller1905
What is .3di from Delta Force and can someone make a new Blender or Noesis plugin? Tried SeeSharpCode's nova-3di-lab but it currently only supports Delta Force 2 https://mega.nz/file/dK5TgJba#O8fuRFLmVrrad-_0R56f7g1fx_BG0wx75AMMQvnKTdU Edited November 2 by mrmaller1905

Engineer shak-otay Posted November 3 Engineer Share Posted November 3 (edited) Instead of bumping this one I'd suggest to take care of your other requests first. Anyways. I was too lazy to download the samples because I found one on my hard drive: is M4_3rd.3di a Delta Force model? (Maybe that was addressed on March 4, 2022 on old Xentax. But not sure.) btw, Nova 3di Lab? Sounds cool. It can convert metasequoia (.mqo) files. Sadly Metasequoia 4 sells for $100, but there is a free version (restricted features). Well, I feel free to hijack your thread, man. (If you don't like that, drop me a note and I'll create a new one.) ------------------------------------------------------------------------ So, surprisingly I found an msq file from 2012 on my hard drive. It's an ASCII format, that means it's human readable: xMetasequoia Document Format Text Ver 1.0 Scene { pos 0.0000 0.0000 5000.0000 lookat 0.0000 0.0000 0.0000 head 0.0000 pich 0.0000 ortho 1 zoom2 1.0000 amb 0.250 0.250 0.250 } Material 5 { "textureAlexander0" col(1.000 1.000 1.000 1.000) dif(1.000) amb(0.250) emi(0.250) spc(0.000) power(5.00) tex("Alexander0.bmp") "textureAlexander1" col(1.000 1.000 1.000 1.000) dif(1.000) amb(0.250) emi(0.250) spc(0.000) power(5.00) tex("Alexander1.bmp") "textureAlexander2" col(1.000 1.000 1.000 1.000) dif(1.000) amb(0.250) emi(0.250) spc(0.000) power(5.00) tex("Alexander2.bmp") "textureAlexander3" col(1.000 1.000 1.000 1.000) dif(1.000) amb(0.250) emi(0.250) spc(0.000) power(5.00) tex("Alexander3.bmp") "textureAlexander4" col(1.000 1.000 1.000 1.000) dif(1.000) amb(0.250) emi(0.250) spc(0.000) power(5.00) tex("Alexander4.bmp") } Object "sdef:obj00" { visible 15 locking 0 shading 1 facet 59.5 color 0.898 0.498 0.698 color_type 0 vertex 575 { 633.0230 2706.6294 72.4239 748.1020 2716.1995 -131.6068 851.7789 2695.0791 -11.0972 452.9140 2737.2295 -74.5047 590.5779 2732.8494 -156.6489 853.0979 2679.3494 148.4932 399.5250 2727.2896 76.3890 751.4409 2676.3896 272.4901 455.3929 2707.6792 225.4271 594.3749 2687.5796 302.8741 ... 1097.1200 -1446.9600 -1214.1097 1239.7800 -1455.2600 -1348.5997 1003.5101 -1730.1500 -1302.2098 1151.9200 -1730.5991 -1418.9397 } face 931{ 3 V(0 1 2) M(0) UV(0.42578 0.07813 0.49609 0.10547 0.45703 0.14844) 3 V(0 3 4) M(0) UV(0.42578 0.07813 0.45703 0.14844 0.49609 0.10547) 3 V(0 2 5) M(0) UV(0.42578 0.07813 0.45703 0.14844 0.39844 0.14844) 3 V(6 3 0) M(0) UV(0.39844 0.14844 0.45703 0.14844 0.42578 0.07813) 3 V(7 0 5) M(0) UV(0.36328 0.11719 0.42578 0.07813 0.39844 0.14844) 3 V(8 6 0) M(0) UV(0.36328 0.11719 0.39844 0.14844 0.42578 0.07813) 3 V(9 8 0) M(0) UV(0.35547 0.07813 0.36328 0.11719 0.42578 0.07813) 3 V(0 4 1) M(0) UV(0.42578 0.07813 0.49609 0.10547 0.49609 0.05469) 3 V(9 0 7) M(0) UV(0.35547 0.07813 0.42578 0.07813 0.36328 0.11719) ... 3 V(165 166 642) M(3) UV(0.08594 0.32422 0.08594 0.47266 0.03125 0.35547) 3 V(620 618 170) M(3) UV(0.22266 0.35938 0.22266 0.43750 0.17188 0.32422) 3 V(168 170 618) M(3) UV(0.17188 0.47266 0.17188 0.32422 0.22266 0.43750) } } EOF My next test will be using Nova 3di Lab to convert that mqo file to Delta Force 2 3di. edit: got a crash in textureDataGrid.Rows: looks like Nova needs a "special" mqo file? (The one I used is from FF IX.) edir2: after a small "patch" a 3di file was created. Seems to contain too many zeroes, though. mrmaller1905
Tried a forum post on NovaHQ but they don't help and FwO 3diView but it doesn't work for character models from Delta Force 1. https://novahq.net/forum/showthread.php?t=10013 https://novahq.net/files.php?ID=

Quote and FwO 3diView but it doesn't work for character models from Delta Force 1. From the "About" info : "It works with most DF1 3di files." But well, I'm not surprised that you can't think of anything better than to complain instead of saying thank you to FwO Raven. I'll leave you alone now with 3di files. Good luck! Keep in mind that it's voxel mesh when waiting for someone to create you a script...
mrmaller1905
Quote Since this is a BETA importer, UV coordinates and faces may not import correctly with some models, such as player characters. I came across Ultimate Unwrap 3D, but it's not totally free and its plugin imports clumped or broken characters.
