DAVEMELTZER1199 Posted September 19, 2024 Posted September 19, 2024 Hi, sad to see that xentax shut down but here we are. I was wondering if anyone could look at these files for NBA 2K25 on PS4, they use the same 0A 0B format but I noticed something different from the other games (NFL2K5/APF2K8/NBA2K14) I can open the files with 7zip but I just can't extract them as it says "unsupported compression method". Any help would be nice.

Members lorak Posted November 22 Members Posted November 22 (edited) @DAVEMELTZER1199Do you know how to open or extract those files (0A, 0B, 0C and 0D) fro APF2K8 PS3? By the way, this quickbms script for APF2K8 seem to extract the contents of those files. However, the extracted dat files seem to be compressed or encrypted as I cannot find any human readable data. Members lorak Posted November 22 Members Posted November 22 (edited) In the attachment there are a few samples of the dat files we get with the quickbms script for NHL2K11. Do not use the bms script for APF2K8. These sample dat files could be any kind of asset: textures, 3d models, sound files and so on. By the way, most of those dat files start with the next four hex numbers. FF 3B EF 94 Hopefully, there is a person able to share some insight about these sample files. Engineers h3x3r Posted December 1 Engineers Posted December 1 (edited) Seems like they are not compressed nor encrypted. I can see some unicode text on the end. EDiT: Maybe compressed... Edited December 1 by h3x3r
Members lorak Posted December 1 Members Posted December 1 (edited) By the way, I found this tool to extract the game files for College Hoops 2K8. The tool is not intended to extract All Pro Footbal 2K8 game files, actually in my case is not even working for College Hoops 2K8. Anyway, it could be useful. By the way, College Hoops 2K8 and All Pro Football 2K8 seem to have very similar type of game files. Both games have its files named as 0A, 0B and so on with similar structure.
