The table at the start of the file (from offset 0xa0), has 2 parts - relative offsets to the bone names and the material names

Any updates ?

Been seeing someone on Twitter already got the models ripped, which is wild. Asked if they'd be willing to share them but they've not responded to me or ignored me.... so I'm hoping we make some headway here at some point XD

No updates as yet, still working on stuff.  Materials are a bit of a pain, but I want to try to get them working reasonably well.

I haven't seen any ripped models on Twitter, at least not fully textured and rigged, etc.

will they be gmod version because i want to use them badly

No, they'll be using a Noesis script.  You'll be able to convert them yourself from there.

This person was the one I was talking about and has em working in VrChat, which personally am jelly of haha.

Edit:

Logged into Vrc to check em and yeah. Not bad, with a few options as well.

Someone else ripped Kurara and Kyoshika and made them SFM ready but locked the imports behind an NSFW paywall.

That's just plain evil.

can we not talk about this stuff like this

We are talking about people who managed to successfully port THL models which is the central idea of the topic at hand. In case you forgot, you posted this thread a month ago and there has been stagnant progress from anywhere on extracting these models so it's not a bad idea to find the few people who managed to do it so far.

If anyone would like to contact the two creators who successfully extracted/ported the models, that would be fine and might give additional leeway into the process. Personally, I think I will wait just a bit more to see if there are any public downloads available

I attempted to ask the one I posted, but was ignored. So *shrugs*. Maybe someone who is better at talking to creators like this might fair better.

I'm friends with the guy who did the Vrchat Avatars and they said that they couldn't give me the tool to rip the models from the files since his friend said not to give it out to anyone

His "friend" said that? Why would his friend command him about his own models? And why discuss ripping his models instead of detailing how he ported them in the first place?

Asset ripping is extremely frowned upon in the VRChat community, however it stems from users taking the models of custom-commissioned avatars. I would hope there is less stigma around assets that are not OC such as the THL models at hand.

In any case, AssetRipper is free and easy to google if that would help you pursue the models. I personally didn't want to get involved with the ethical dilemma of it and would rather the creator assist the process of making the models more available to everyone.
