UndercoverBoy833 Posted April 28 Posted April 28 (edited) can anyone help me with .pck and .dat samples from Midnight Club 3 DUB Edition Remix PS2 version? I ripped the asset.dat archive using MC3 Tools from xentax archive link found https://web.archive.org/web/20220826005749fw_/https://forum.xentax.com/viewtopic.php?f=10&t=12738&sid=e105694a4ca0adf67b8c0fccc73c7251 https://github.com/XeNTaXBackup/XeNTaXBackup.github.io/blob/main/markdown/Midnight Club 3 Dub Edition Research Thread_12738.md the step is to drag ASSET.DAT and drop to ar_extract.exe (same for texture.dat for tex_extract.exe) And I don't think i can use MC3_extraction_tool from TahmidAlam unless I get the .pck to .mesh result (I know it takes more time and knowledge so please don't assume that I want it quickly because I still don't have knowledge on any file structure) https://github.com/TahmidAlam-git/MC3_extraction_tools MC3_Tools.zip vp_d_f355_98.7z Edited Thursday at 06:22 AM by UndercoverBoy833 edited the topic name with all platforms mentioned and is about 3D models 1
Engineers shak-otay Posted Wednesday at 12:11 PM Engineers Posted Wednesday at 12:11 PM (edited) The first link contains infos about psppck, so PSP, not PS2. (Plus I don't see any mention of how to handle pck files.) Maybe I'll collect 98 of these later... edit: this car looks a little bit weird: (Tried it with meshlab but didn't get what we want, so no pic here. Meshlab is useful for characters but not for technical equipment since it builds the mesh in an "organic" way.) edit: with other signature search byte it looks better but there's 40 parts only then and lower LOD: Edited Thursday at 09:29 PM by shak-otay
UndercoverBoy833 Posted Thursday at 06:21 AM Author Posted Thursday at 06:21 AM so the first link about the topic in Xentax was started with PSP sample file or something, then it probably were expanded to PS2 and Xbox file. But yeah I started the topic with PS2 sample file of MC3 Remix + with xentax topic archive links so I might make my topic eligible for every platform.
