  1. I'm currently trying to extract the voices and sound effects from the Wii version of Wreck-It Ralph and based on the files I've encounter, all of the files in which the voices are located in are formatted in as ".glob" and I've searched online and I was unable to find any information or clues that could help me on how I could extract this format. As far as I've known about the file format, programs like Audacity are able to read the file's raw data, but the voices and sfx are played in a chipmunk-like pitch and speed, and when the file is put into a notepad software, it shows that these are compressed archives that have .wav files in them. This sample folder contains the …

  3. Can someone help with this format? I think it's atrac9, but I still can't decode this audio. Studying the .spk format, I found that formats such as OGG vorbis, mp3, adpcm, xma, atrac3 are usually used for .spk, but for PS4 SPK does not seem to resemble the listed formats. Anyone who can identify the audio will be glad. In the file I provided myself .spk and raw, which contains only audio. The audio has 1 channel and 48000 HZ PS4 SPK.zip

  4. For a while now I have been trying to reverse the GAX Sound Engine .ghx2 project file format, and I currently have a roadblock regarding the compression method used for the sequence data. From what I know the format was used with: The GAX editor program (GHX2), which was used to create and export the tracks. A screenshot of this program (taken by an employee at Shin'en) was uploaded by ItsT3K on Twitter (now X). In the screenshot, this program takes in these .ghx2 files (in this case: Iridion 24.ghx2). and GAXPlay: a program that reads these files and plays them back (with mix-rate adjusting and GBA speaker emulation). I will be using my GitHub…

  5. I was looking to get sound effects and voices out of the Monsters vs. Aliens game and I'm pretty sure they're found in the Streams.dat file. I used a QuickBMS script on multiple versions and I couldn't figure out where to go from there The one named "Monsters Aliens Streams" It didn't work on the PS3 or Wii version The PC version would just extract 3 files, one of them being 800MB The best results I got were the Xbox 360 version where it actually extracted a whole lot of .raw files but I couldn't find any program I could open them with I'll leave samples of both the files from PC and a few from the Xbox 360 version if anyone can give p…

  6. Tried extracting audio from "DK Children's Encyclopedia 1.1" using this article - https://wiki.multimedia.cx/index.php/DK_Animation Up until "frames per second" section it was the same in the header (except that number of chunks is actually higher by 10 than stated at the 0x02 offset), but all the rest of it turned out to be data for RIFF-WAVE header. And since this game uses Microsoft IMA ADPCM ("0x02" at 0x08 offset - for PCM it would be "0x01" as in the article), the header was prolonged up to 0x3F offset. The following chunks data have the same structure as in the article. The problem is, the current format uses blockalign that is incompatible for just putti…

  7. I've had no problem playing and converting various .asf, .str, .exa and .snu files containing audio from the disc, but need help with the .mus file that contains the isolated soundtrack without the character dub and environmental sounds. I'm on old hardware and can't get MS Visual Studio to run in a way that makes Valery's Game Audio Player work on my end. Foobar with VGM Stream also won't do the trick for me. Could someone convert this .mus file (or maybe better said, it's contents?) to .wav for me so I can listen to and edit it in my digital audio workstation? It's about 1GB large. File link!

  9. Hi guys, I have this .bnk file which is from the Star Wars Jedi Knight Jedi Academy game from the Xbox version, I want to edit it to translate it with a port of the audio from the PC version, but I haven't found a way to manipulate the file, I've tried different Wwise Soundbank programs but it doesn't recognize it, the most I've found is a bms script that allows me to extract the audio in .wav format but without a name and it also doesn't allow me to import, I hope someone can help me with that, thanks. https://drive.google.com/file/d/1E1Wh8qMDc7tgLMlR0RQsTbL8ZybpuXbW/view?usp=sharing wavescan.zip

  14. Hello, i want to know how to obtain Horizon Forbidden West game music files, because some songs are not present in official soundtrack or some songs like "Built To Kill" are shorter in OST version and, the "In-Game" version is more larger. I can't bring any sample because they are big ".core" and ". stream" big files. It's for personal use, i have my legit copy on PS4.

Probably an old query for some, but just for my own knowledge to understand this format. MGS2 on the PS2 has two different audio formats - type 0 is standard PSX ADPCM, but type 1 is some other format. It looks like some sort of PCM8, with some sources saying it should be XOR'd by 0x07 first, and some saying it's IMA. I've tried the data both raw and XOR'd but I can never get it to play correctly, trying various interleave values as well. I might just be missing something obvious if anyone can enlighten me. I've attached a couple of samples of these type 1 files from DEMO.DAT - they include the 16-byte header and then the raw audio data. Thanks. …

  21. First of all, this English uses a translation There are three types of audio files in this game One of them can be converted successfully with MFAudio, but the other two I don't understand. It is possible that it is not an audio file... I have uploaded them to MEGA as a sample. https://mega.nz/folder/HJYnARCC#XfOHeWyjshIbaaWp7DGMNw Thanks for looking this far.

Love Live! SIF2 comes with the strange .ppart file format. Vgmstream can't play ppart files but plays .awb and .acb perfectly fine. I have heard they are splitted but I don't know how to find the base file to join them with obfuscated file names All the ppart file always comes with 2 files with following filenames like these: 04192735643b68b53eaa0fde411eb336_0c867f299a2fd1482076a02590013ab5.awb.ppart 04192735643b68b53eaa0fde411eb336_185108cdef19659f0d442f9cfabea5e2.acb.ppart b187c7892af250962b44873e258bcf5a_6f9e17a411a71716c335e8ed78dac868.awb.ppart b187c7892af250962b44873e258bcf5a_16212ca176af4ee9208010dfadc02575.acb.ppart b50745d435555451eb…

Hi there, I've been trying to extract the music from this game for a while now, at first, I assumed it was just a bank and it was missing it's FSB key, but after asking vgmstream team to have a look, they said that it looks like it's encrypted, they suggested asking for help here. I've included some samples for you all to take a look at. Any help would be greatly appreciated! Samples.zip
