    I have this old game (https://readerrabbit.fandom.com/wiki/Reader_Rabbit_Math_Adventures_Ages_6-9) that I'd like to extract some textures from. Pretty new to reverse engineering file formats and would love some help. My current hexpat: import std.io; import std.mem; import std.string; u32 SECTOR_SIZE = 512; u16 fileInfoOffset @ 0x000000EA; struct FileEntry { u16 sector_offset; u16 sector_length; u16 sector_offset2; u16 sector_length2; u16; u16; }; struct FileEntryInfo { u16; u16; u16 id; char type_name[4]; u16 [[hidden]]; }; FileEntry fileTable[while(std::mem::read_unsigned($, sizeof(FileEntry)) != 0)] @ 254; u32 fi…

    I'm working with the game GeminiLost from playfirst, they have an assets.pfp file that can be extracted using a BMS script [https://aluigi.altervista.org/bms/pfpk.bms]. After extraction it is possible to see lua scripts that were compiled using lua 5.0: scripts.zip I try to use ChunkBake, luadec, unluac and they all always give the same error, using ChunkSpy it is possible to see that you can identify a large part of the file but at the end it shows an error at the end: Pos Hex Data Description or Code ------------------------------------------------------------------------ 0000 ** source chunk: ok.lua …

  6. Game has a lot of nice character designs, so I want to extract the archives and see if there's any cool unused art (even if it's an unknown format I'll plug at it with a tile editor), even if there isn't having access to the existing art would be nice. Unfortunately I'm a total novice at this kind of thing for the time being, tons I can't begin to fathom. https://drive.google.com/file/d/1FaTz771e6reXhx9zENmqgvGmGR_R2ttd/view?usp=sharing

    My problem. The texture fonts are stored in a .ucas file. I got them out and got them modified for Czech language, but I don't know how to get them back. If I put them in the pak file with the other fonts and localization, the game won't read them. I need to put them back into the .ucas file or create a new one so the game will read it. Thank you in advance for your advice.

    I have little experience with this type of files, could you help me read them correctly? I think it could be encrypted and the actual content be in a json file but I do not know where to start. Can you teach me how to decrypt it? Later I want to do it on my own with other games. I added examples from the files GameData.zip

  15. I wasn't sure if I should post this here, or if in the translation help forum. I originally made a thread for this on Zenhax, but since that's dead (and it's been a couple years so I've forgotten everything), I'll make a thread here. I have an old OoP Japanese PC game called Vampire Hurts, which uses .scr files for its dialogue. Now, I actually have a tool and its source code (presumably from that old Zenhax thread made it) that's titled Vampire Hurts Translation Tool, which will dump the scripts of the SCR files into TXT. The problem I'm having is that I don't know how to repack them into SCR files for dialogue replacement. The "Merge Text" feature doesn't repack it…

  16. I would like to try to get 3d models from this game, but just as expected, the game would have its assets stored in some unknown archive files. There doesn't seem to be any mentions of the game's archive files anywhere, so I guess there are no extractors available. As for the files' contents, I'm not sure if they are compressed or not and I'm not sure which files contains the 3d models either. I did noticed that the DATA1 and DATA3 files contains data with 'ATP' headers. Here is a link to the files: data

    So, I saw that there is a bms script to deal with this format, but apparently it only works with reimport1, when I increase the size of the dat block and use reimport2 the script ends up breaking the entire structure of the container. Could someone give me a hand? Files + Script.zip

  24. Started by STorsion,

    Good afternoon. I'm creating modifications for the series of games "Ancient Wars: Sparta", but there was a problem with unpacking the files. I previously tried to contact [email protected] but was unsuccessful. This Engine.pak file is not unpacked and I don't know how to find the key. If it is possible to generate this key, I will be very glad! for example the key looks like this putarray 0 -1 "234,35,146,18,45,234,35,146,18,45,234,35,146,18,45" For most files of previous games everything worked, but with this file it doesn’t work... archive with quickbms and the .pak file itself https://drive.google.com/file/d/1OKesHfatbhhQzIljqxrYT8OvMI3O_X43/view?usp=sharing

    Hey everyone, I've been trying to extract the contents of MLB 09 The Show for PS3, but no luck so far. All of the game's content is stored in this 11 gig WAD file, which has given me trouble for quite awhile now. I've tried using the God of War scripts for quickbms since they're both Sony games using WADs, but that doesn't seem to work. I'm pretty new to this, so apologies if I'm missing something obvious here. If someone way smarter than me has an idea of other scripts to try or what I should do next, your help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
